About

In the beginning, Dramasense posted reviews of poetry, plays, and performances in Los Angeles. The reviews were mainly of artistic events which took place in small or mid-size venues on the Westside. However, the author, Emme Devonish, is now engaged in world travel and will no longer post such reviews.

Emme is a poet, writer, and professor.  She earned a MFA in Creative Writing from Carlow University in December 2010, and is now conducting research for her PhD at the University of Sydney

From 1993-2008, Emme was a securities regulatory attorney who specialized in investment management.  She consulted on legal projects from 2008-2010.  However, Emme has shifted focus and is concurrently working on fiction and poetry manuscripts.

From time to time the site may feature Emme’s poems and other creative ventures.

  1. Emme, I love plays but have a difficult time finding out which ones to actually invest time and money. This is a wonderful blog. Thank you for taking the time to create it.

A friend of mine, Juan Roberts, is hosting a free creative professionals workshop on December 20th. Please check out his blog at DezignBootCamp.blogspot.com for more information.

    Take care,
    Tonya

    • Hi Tonya,

Thanks for the comment. Since I am a graduate student, all of the events I review are easy on the budget. I hope more people get connected with the myriad of cultural events that we have in our community.

The DezignBootCamp looks like it would be worth the time. However, even though the price of gas has decreased, Lancaster is a long drive for me. Perhaps if someone on the Westside was available to carpool, then I wouldn’t mind driving there.

      E-
